Church Interiors, bits 'n bobs - an open thread.

I've visited a couple of churches with the camera recently, and intend making return visits, also checking out others where photography is permitted. I thought I'd post the pics on one thread, and I'm hoping others will join in, showing own work only.

I posted a group of five of these figurines from Southwark Cathedral on another thread. There are a total of 20 (4 groups of 5) some not photographing so well due to poor light, but I like these two little groups.

And a couple more from Southwark Cathedral last week

I rather liked this ... showing half the organ pipes and goth doorway.

and this lowish ceiling over a side corridor is more dramatic than the main ceiling.

My apologies as I didn’t notice ‘interiors’ but I love the look of churches and often take pics of them but it’s exterior. I know.... boooo.... but it’s pretry

That is pretty Bratti.

OK the odd exterior too, but personally I want to concentrate on interiors and little bits of fine architectural detail.

A couple from the archives:

An old London Anglican church converted to Greek Orthodox.

A Catholic Church west london.

No photos to post. I never go anywhere like that myself ..... but please keep 'em coming. Lovely to look at.
The atmosphere oozes out and the sheer craftsmanship of the stonemasons and sculptures is fabulous.
