Re: Video doorbell

If you are serious about having some form of video capability then get a proper set of cameras imho. Video doorbells are a gimmick.

RING doorbell has 30% bad reviews on Amazon (1-2 star)

Re: Video doorbell

I have a high gate that's always locked family get through using a code but everyone else pushes the bell ... I have a video screen in the house shows me who is there and an intercom so I can talk to them......it works well and touch wood....so far it's reliable.

Re: Video doorbell

Whatever you buy, just ensure it's wired up to the mains - you need the electric shock treatment!

Assuming that your comment was for my attention, you are as funny as an orphanage fire, and a boring tw*t

Re: Video doorbell

.... wouldn't want to give RING a bad name but

It was discussed on our local website, and this is what my neighbour said, and I believe him ...

I bought a Ring doorbell some time ago. I really cannot badmouth it enough; it’s the worst bit of kit I have ever owned and I feel thoroughly conned. Don’t believe the ads - the battery drains in a week (and you’ll have no door bell while it takes 5hrs to charge), the ‘ring’ comes through your phone (so no doorbell if your phone is off/on silent/out of service - great!), it doesn’t record constantly unless you pay more, it takes about 30-seconds to connect to the video (so ignore the nonsense on the TV ads, ie you’ll receive the video stream just in time to see the courier drive off), and the speaker in the Ring is so puny that you’ll need to shriek into your phone if you want the person who rang the doorbell to hear you. Utter pants.
