What's that fuzzy stuff ?

The entire floor in my apartment is WHITE ceramic tile and it shows every little bit of dirt. However, when I sweep up, I see lots and lots of "fuzzy/fluffy stuff". Dirt that I may be tracking in, I can understand, but what in the world is that dark grayish color fuzzy/fluffy stuff. It looks like animal hair but I DON"T have a pet. What is it and where is it coming from ????

According to an episode of QI most household "dust" is shed human skin perhaps you are moulting?

After even a brief visit my my daughter and/or Daughter in Law my carpet sweeper collects an inordinate amount of long hair that could have only come from them.

Yes, I often wear socks around the apt. Plus I have rawhide slippers with the hair on the INSIDE. Hard to imagine that all that fuzzy stuff is coming from socks and slippers. the fuzzy stuff is difinately not long human hair. Besides I am nearly bald.

Maybe just from the broom or whatever you use to sweep. I've noticed some kitchen roll leaves bits of white tissue.

It's paper dust from the kitchen and toilet rolls.

If you buy a coloured toilet roll, the dust will reduce dramatically.
