The front wheel will be built by Friday, and the tire fitted, time to compare the Sur Ron and the Bomber.
A stainless bolt complete with nut and shakeproof washers
I assume Spitty ?
Another question if l may?
Does just the one bolt hold the stand onto the bike ?

DM, yes stainless bolt and shakeproof washer, no nut, the stand is threaded so the bolt is a blind fit.
Tomorrow will sort stuff out, the built front wheel, five weeks in the making is due, so pick it up, get innertube and tyre fitted, first time the Bomber has stood alone.

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

With your photographs of Kitty Hawk
And the biplanes on your wall
You were always Amy Johnson
From the time that you were small
No schoolroom kept you grounded
While your thoughts could get away
You were taking off in Tiger Moths
Your wings against the brush-strokes of the day
Are you there
On the tarmac with the winter in your hair
By the empty hangar doors you stop and stare
Leave the oil-drums behind you, they won't care
Oh, are you there

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

Disc done, got to wait for the Wife to get back so we can balance the frame high enough to insert the wheel. The Bomber is quite heavy and powerful so might have to buy a double disc set up hub, and have another wheel laced capable of running twin discs, if the single disc does not have enough stopping power.

The Bomber stands on its own two wheels, the Sur-ron is like a Ballet Dancer, the Bomber is like a Blunt Instrument.

Yes Barry, this is it loosely fitted, on the floor is the cover for the controller but, as previously mentioned, the controller is too large for it so am waiting on some white aluminum bar to make extenders with.

Re: Planes Bikes and Automobiles

I think lve spotted your deliberate mistake Spitty ?
There's not much room for Mrs Spitty on the seat ??
BTW, If the brakes are weak, try fitting a reversing switch to
the motor !! 😃😃

Donkeyman! 🤔🤔
