Heidi Allen

This MP was elected as a Conservative in 2017, resigned in 2019 for Change UK, resigned in June and outrageously has now joined the Lib Dems. Wonder if her constituents are happy to be represented by another party to the one they actually voted for.

Mrs Allen added that she had received “thousands of emails pouring in” from her constituents since her announcement that she would join the Lib Dems, grateful that she had put the national interest first.

Only time will tell whether the immediate positive response is indicative of how successful Mrs Allen will be in the upcoming elections, whenever they may be.

My thoughts exactly! I hope she, and others like her, are voted out and replaced by those who campaign for the original parties when the next election does eventually arrive.. I am watching our MP carefully to see how she fares in all of this turmoil - so far so good - she is Andrea Leadsom.

I'll second that AT, it really should be mandatory otherwise you are just cheating the electorate.... but what's new there....
