Back in the early 60's, Chuck Berry and his great contemporary Bo Diddley (who sadly died in 2008) were my gateway into Rock and Roll and the Blues. At that time, The Stones, Beatles, Yardbirds, Pretty Things etc had sets which were largely based on Berry/Diddley covers. Maybelline, Johnny B.Goode, Roll Over Beethoven, Sweet Little Sixteen and Come On (The Rolling Stones' first record release in 1963). Wonderful memories of those exciting times. Sleep well Chuck - no-one played that Gibson quite like you!Re: Oh No! Chuck Berry Has Died...

A lot of these so-called 'Greats' were famous for being famous !Re: Oh No! Chuck Berry Has Died...
I offer no excuses I liked his music and that many musicians have said he was gateway into music for them I'm very sorry he's dead. Many genres of music I can't appreciate doesn't make them bad, just means my ear misses the point I always think.
