How Would You Spend A Gap Year?

If you could have a gap year, how would you spend it?
Volunteering in a foreign land? Back packing in different countries? Climbing mountains? Just chilling? Working? Or something else?
I would love to go back packing around the world but it must be safe!

Brilliant idea for a thread, Art.
Supposing I was in my early 20's, not now. Suppose also I was studying to be a Zoologist, I would volunteer to go to a country to help study the animals there, in the jungle or wherever.

I'd move to our caravan and spend a happy year there, I seem to have lost the wander bug I used to have.

I would spend it at home doing what I always do, I don't like change.

I think that it would be dangerous for people like myself. I would forever be looking out to, MIND THE GAP.

I`m old and never did have any money back then.. Aha but one dreams-my gap year? It could be Italy,or perhaps a tour of some of the better known English schools for young ladies?.
