Yes I agree,it is very daunting when You are alone in later Life,..Like Ventura,My Children are all Married or with Partners,and Their Families are all grown too,Eldest Daughter lives 500 Mls away in Kent so rarely see Her or G/Kids except on Skype which is great...When I retired I did the usual things like joining the Gym',Gallivanting on Bus/train trips with Friends, etc'..but one or two Friends have died,and I've just not been able to make new Friends unfortunately,not easy at this age I'm afraid...So I have to be content with having a blether with Neighbours,gardening,reading,walking,and twice weekly visits from Son/Daughter...No U3A in My Area,wish there wasRe: Loneliness in later life
