I've my two best mates, as I call them, from schooldays. I trust them.
The rest in my life are just acquaintances really.

All my friends have been friends for many years. My oldest has been a friend since we were both 4 and in spite of us both moving away from our home town we have kept in touch.

Most of my long time friends have passed on in the last year or so. Even my best mate who was also my best man 54 years ago no longer remembers me. We started school together 71 years ago. Very sad.
