Light a candle

Tomorrow I will be 63. Six years since I last saw Jenny alive and 50 years after Aberfan.

May I be the first to wish you a happy birthday. And I understand there is a one minute silence for Aberfan at 09.30. Shall think of you and them.

Just to edit...the one minute silence for Aberfan is 9.15, not 9.30.

Aberfan had an effect on me even as a young child, a terrible and tragic day.

A very Happy Birthday to you OG.
I was 27yrs old on that awful day 50 years ago. I clearly remember my little boy, then 3yrs old, wondering why his daddy was in tears.

I was 16 at the time of the Aberfan disaster. Even though I didn't live in the UK then, it dominated our news and conversation.
