Hotseat revivial.

I thought some of our new members might be interested in this - or some of our old members if they want to have another go.

It was fun last time.

I was on a Canadian forum some years ago and they had a thread called 'The hot seat'
I would like to introduce it here.

A Hotseat is where a member puts themselves in the spotlight for a few days while fellow members ask them questions about themselves. Of course if they don't want to answer any questions they don't have to. On the forum I was on the Hotseat thread lasted a week so members don't have to rush all at once with their questions. After a week someone else went in the Hotseat ... It regularly got over 100 posts as of course you can ask as many questions as you like.

I introduced it to another forum last year and it was a success there too. We have enough lively people on this forum to make a go of it I reckon.

I seem to remember we revised it a little on here.
We had the member in the hotseat for 3 days and then a 2 day break before the next one.

That worked out alright.

Personally I don't see the point, but each to their own.

If you type 'Hotseat' into the search button a lot of the old threads will come up.

Give you an idea of what it's like.

I enjoyed reading them Carol, puts a bit of flesh on the bones of members, and one or two were eyeopeners.

I thought it might appeal to some of our newer members.

We'll leave it open over the weekend in case anybody else wants to have a go.

We'll start you in the Hotseat on Monday and close it Wednesday if that's ok with you?

Remember you don't have to answer anything you don't want to do.
