Re: No wonder Labour lost the election

I heard a rumour that the Daily Mail collection was vastly oversubscribed, and that the excess was being passed on to the treasury. George Osborn is reconsidering his budget on Wdnesday.

I have this feeling of dread! Already had to downsize and had incapacity changed to Esa. If they say I have to work, they'll have to find me a job testing beds or toilets!

No ladies it was meant to be humerous. i.e using the surplus from the collection for Russell Brand's ticket to Syria, to reduce his cut backs!!!

It's such a worry for many people I pray it won't be as bad as many predict..

Hi Julie 1962,
I sincerely hope that you don't find it too bad. I take it that you are not able to work at present. Certainly whatever he does, he should leave the people who are unable to work alone. There are very many scroungers on large benefits that need sorting out.

Best wishes
Arthur

No we are very lucky my husband is just back to work after his knee replacement and I work part time, wages are terrible but we both work and only get child benefit. We were told we could get child tax credit but the rig marole and the mistakes we decided to just carry on as we were managing.

But I feel very sorry for any who does need help, and there but for the grace of god I always think.

Even the benefit cheats are not costing anywhere near as much as the tax dodgers! Perhaps the government should change focus!

The most expensive is pensions apparently but for some reason no one wants to face that in any way except make it later and later until you can retire, make them means tested and we could actually aim the help at the people really need it.
