I didn’t see the program Patsy but I could imagine it.The fella who used to live next door to us was a nice enough chap when he moved in about twenty years ago, then he bought another house that was for sale in the same area, he now has six houses here and rents them all out to students at top rates. Phyllis recommended her handyman chap to him when he wanted to do up his first house and he got all the work on the other house too later on, now he gets no work from him as the landlord has got so mean that the houses are being neglected, the decking outside the house next door is rotting away and looks very dangerous, God knows what it’s like on the inside, he’s never around anymore only comes to collect his money, he himself has gone back down to the country to live in his mothers house for free, he has been taken over completely by greed and if you saw him on the street you’d give him a penny, as they used to say.
