Actually, I think that's only the really big updates.

turn computer off as normal and the monitor, the computer will shut itself down.
Turn computer and monitor back on and the updates will go onto the computer.

This only takes a couple of minutes depending on size of update, but no hassle or real computer time lost. best way to have the latest
