What is your bugbear?

I have just spent fifteen minutes on a telephone call during which I was promised, on numerous occasions, that the firm in question would give 110% to meet the requirements of the charity I was making the enquiry for.

It is such a common phrase but really irritates me.

In an effort to "cool down" I googled for a joke I heard about this type of thing, namely -

What makes 100%? What does it mean to give more than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

If:

So, one can conclude with mathematical certainty that While HARDWORK and KNOWLEDGE will get you close, and ATTITUDE will get you there, it is the BULLSH** and A**KISSING that will put you over the top.

My bugbear has always been having to watch and endure an obnoxious Politician pontificating on my tv screen and not having a button that I could press to join in and say: EXCUSE ME you................

There's always that ultimate button – 'OFF'. Not as a comment preceded by some other word, but it does make for a permanent end to the stupid comments politicians often make!

My bugbear is....waiting for a bus in the freezing cold,..then it doesn't turn up.

This bus company is getting more unreliable by the week.

sorting out computer problems mainly. recently the internet lost wireless contact with the computer.

Only answer was to do a reset which is a bind as I just could not find which part of the registry had changed. Reinstalling several programs takes a few hours.

My TV viewing day usually begins with Sky Sports Football Centre at 10am most mornings, a roundup of the previous night's football matches. My cheerful mood is soon dissipated during the commercial breaks. British Seniors and others, have you made your funeral arrangements, and what about leaving something for your loved ones. Chuck in others, from Save The Children, Donkeys in Distress, moneylenders galore, and one loses the will to go on! That's my biggest bugbear at the moment!!

BT at the moment. They have charged me for a service which was taken off, ie, cancelled by me, in October, with a follow up phone call in November, to make sure. I now have to call them today, to demand it’s taken off, again, along with the charge. £30, but it makes a difference.

Oh, and might I add...legal fees?

Had to pull out of the intended purchase of the house in Gorleston, because (1) the vendor was dragging his heels and five months down the line we hadn’t got any further, (2) he had lost his park home twice in one week, still leaving him without anywhere to move to. So I aborted the purchase.

In the meantime I found another, better, house and swiftly put in an offer.

However, the fee for the aborted sale was still eye watering and jaw dropping. Add to that the money paid out for the home buyer’s surgery, and I am quite out of pocket.

So, let’s add lazy vendors to the list, shall we?
