Interesting, although I don't wish that the EU crashes on the rocks, that would be devastating for so many , but we will certainly be better placed to ride a storm if it comes, without EU political interference .

They know what they have lost, and did everything wrong to try to keep us... going back to the fateful meeting between Cameron and Merkel and stubbornness that resulted in our referendum.

Never to be admitting wrong decisions, they tried and tried to scupper the plans.

This is where diffrent cultures do not ,and never will mix. They failed to see their course of action would send the British people more opposed to the Union.. and they still don't get our ability to see through their schemes and plans, but the threats of failure are something we will never take lying down and that is where they failed BIG TIME ! Make threats at your peril .. maybe they could learn from that little lesson .

Their difficulty is that Merkel was born in 1954 in East Germany, the Berlin Wall come down in 1989 . She grew up for the first 35 yrs of her life under communism, how can she (and many others) not have an allegiance to their past ? Maybe they are in a better position to understand both sides but one side was democratic the other was dictatorship and mixing the two is probably not a good idea.

All the boats seem to be rocking at the moment, apart from that Dutch Barge , ... looks like that is not going anywhere. Happy in the silt !

Oh I see, you start your reply with an attempted insult that you are completely wrong about and then it's all downhill from there!

So according to you a person's grasp on the truth is governed by their family relationships? Not sure what planet you are from but of course you being a complete europhile you would always know best, so obviously no truth in what he says then? Yeah right..

At last , a bit of realism from someone in Europe.

I am sure the whole reason there has been so much reluctance in the EU to facilitate our leaving is they fear our success may contribute to their failure...
