Yes the U.K. has made a start.
There needs to be a complete change in lifestyle that includes diet ,travel and how we heat our homes that’s just the beginning .
As I mentioned it’s their future not ours .
I’m open minded and willing to listen I’m not saying I agree with everything but I’m listening .
Well said Ripple !

His looks? Why not? Those who choose to put themselves in the public domain should expect to be pilloried once in a while.

Re: Greta Thunberg ... again

Thun(der)burg served her purpose admirably when she first made her points a few months ago. Alas, IMHO, she should have left it there for a couple of years since she is undoing the goodwill that she generated.

There is a pretty clear change of "policy" in terms of energy creation, and the amount of waste we produce But it will take years for things to work their way through.

Indeed. One may think what they want, but they should keep their opinion to themselves. Otherwise, the arguments on either side become obfuscated by pointless and silly exchanges, as is being demonstrated on this thread.

Does this preclude any discussion of any sort?

If one may not express their opinion, what's left?

Everyone nicely agreeing with everyone else?

Personally, I think I'd find any discussion along those lines rather pointless and, consequently, my valuable and highly interesting opinions would never be heard.
