Re: That dog again

Well, he kinda blotted his copy book today. We walked by a neighbour's house. Pretty day. The guy was cleaning out his caravan, his wife, daughter, and little Yorkie were sitting in the front garden. I let Max socialise. The Yorkie barked at Max and mum admonished Yorkie to no effect. Max paid it no never mind but that's our gentle big Max. The little girl fussed over him. He soaked that up. No surprise there either. All good as my step son would say.

What happened next was a trifle embarrassing. Max decided to do a quick tour inside the house. OK, he came out, no harm done. And then supped on her cup of tea........

Actually, the family were quite amused with the big, gentle, friendly and sociable fellow. And obviously, he was comfortable with them.

I can't quite explain how our shy, nervous rescue fellow gained his confidence, And retained his compassionate nature.

You silver tongued filly!
But I think you have a point. Not to sing our praises but we have put the effort that, in my opinion, all responsible dog owners should. And possibly reaped the rewards.

Whatever, he is a jolly good dog.
And I'm still going to kick his butt...........

Re: That dog again

A tail from today.

My dear wife and i went out to walk Max as we do. The lady next door came out and chatted to us for a bit. Max laid down as usual. I have had a few health issues and been in E&R recently. She, the neighbour, offered to dog sit if we have to be away for anything like that.

It really is a friendly place to be. Just makes you feel comfortable. Maybe secure is a better word.
