I recently purchased a spray, based on the conker smell, I spray bottom of the doors, got it from Amazon .......

That's interesting to know Pats - I hadn't heard of that.If you have pets, pushing some fine wire wool into any gaps you have in walls, floors, skirting boards, around pipework stop not only mice (which I had once - the joys of rural life!) but it seems to have stopped all the spiders as well! The chap from Rentokil said it's because little critters get their nails and legs caught up in the stuff so they tend to stay away from it - and it worked.
