Happy Friday Folk.

Another shot of Carsington Water in Derbyshire.
Another apple tree pruned yesterday.........why is it taking me so long? I'm really cutting them hard back this year as they were getting too big.

And yet another lovely spot.
How many apple trees do you have Alan?

It turned out to be a lovely day today, so made the most of it.
Gotta get that Vitamin D before it's source disappears for months on end!!

Have yourselves a lovely day.

Re: Happy Friday Folk.

Good morning everyone, very mild here and windy today, leaves everywhere now though and a blizzard of Silver Birch seeds from next door, never seen so many...

I've got the windows to clean inside today and some sweeping up to do (see anove ), but only if the wind eases.

Those apple trees sound like they are giving you a hard time Alan, so if you want me to pop round with the chain saw to give you a hand......

Enjoy your day folks.

I have seven apple trees. It used to be nine but the wind has toppled a couple of them over the years. I usually only get a moderate amount of apples but this year has seen a bumper crop. I also have a plum and a pear tree.

That's a lot of fruit!
I did see lots of your apples - what did you end up doing with them?
You're lucky you don't have bears there - they would love your 'orchard!'

Re: Happy Friday Folk.

Morning folks.

Coffee is brewing and it looks like it will be a sunny day here in Scotland. Gone are the days when it is fully bright at this time, rather it is still slightly dark - winter is coming!

Not that I really care what day it is now I'm retired, but the wife is very happy it is Friday. It has been a tiring week.

Have a good day all.

I managed to give the surplus away to neighbours and friends. I've kept quite a few for ourselves but we don't eat a lot of apples, Sheila prefers satsumas and bananas which I don't grow !

Re: Happy Friday Folk.

Good morning everyone,

Very industrious Alan, a big job though with that many trees to cut back.
Lovely photo again.

Not very bright out there this morning and quite breezy with it. Have a good day all and take care, God bless.
