Why join up and not post

Not only on here but on other forums as well people become members then don't post. I don't understand it?

This is my second time joining this site - the last time I forgot my user name and password and couldn't comment. so I had to get a new email address and name - I hope I don't forget again

Some people just like to read posts without comment and that is fine no one is compelled to post.

Well I'm not a scammer but don't post as regularly as some others on here. I only post if I have something worth saying or commenting on.
