Sighing

Are you a sigher?

I'm not as a habit but when I used to be at a paying job there was a real 'pill' of a woman working there who would exhale very loudly & fairly frequently just to let everyone in the room know she had the weight of the world on her shoulders. She was very indulgent.

Re: Sighing

I was told that sighing or yawning is a sign of lack of oxygen

Re: Sighing

Well It's usually a way of drawing attention to the fact that a person is fed up or feel that they have had enough, for some reason.
It's a way of expressing that feeling of being fed-up without actually saying it though I think that it's probably best to try to communicate what is wrong rather than being a drama king or queen.

Yawning can be due to low oxygen levels through shallow breathing. Sitting hunched up at a desk doesn't help.

If you've gotta yawn, you've gotta yawn

My yawning is due to tiredness .... I don't sleep very well

Re: Sighing

I've been known to sigh usually when my husband has done something daft again, had a good old sigh this morning when he couldn't get in doors counting the cars in the car park, love him to death but just occasionally I think he may be the death of me LOL

Re: Sighing

I do sigh sometimes if I'm resigned to a situation, but I also sigh at a time when I'm happy or contented.

Re: Sighing

My aunt used to say 'Every time you sigh you lose a drop of blood from your heart '.
This never made any sense to me
