Nah ... me neither BUT some people, who are on the internet 24/7 working, like to keep up to date with the threads they're interested in.

A bit of 'diversion' can be a welcome break in what might otherwise seem a tedious life.

All work and no play ....

Not that they WERE instant anyway. By the time I received notification, I'd already been there innit.

WEIRD

If you two don't like the idea of e-mail notifications, turn them off!

Some of us appreciate them.

I didn't have this facility turned on 'til recently.
Tried it out and found it fairly pointless and ANNOYING because the email notification was tardy !

That's all.

I never turned them on in the first place, but after Azz's tinkering I did check to make sure I wasn't about to be bombarded with emails.
To each his/her own, eh?

Indeed. As I said earlier, it is not every forum that provides such options for its members, and I appreciate the trouble to which Azz has gone in order to give us this and other choices.

Re: Thread subscriptions update

I find that now, if I click on Control Panel there are my subscribed threads all ready and waiting for me to read the newest posts. Excellent.

Re: Thread subscriptions update

My suscribed posts all vanished.

I very much miss the facility to alter the colour of fonts

This is the only forum I've been a member of where it has been missing
It is so useful when wanting to highlight, or quote, or when you prefer not to have to alter the font AND it's irritating for those people who want to do 'birthday greetings etc' but do not have the knowledge to access their pics

This has become more apparent since I've moved from iMac to iPad.

With hearty apologies to anybody I may have become irritated with in the past due to their rubbish spillin, unfathomable posts etc.

Furthermore, I wish to apologise for my grammar in this post.
I am well aware of the sloppiness but really can't be ******
