I did that with soot from the chimney as a kid inbetween toothpaste, tasted horrible!

Remember when Gibbs toothpaste came in a round tin? like a bar of round soap, everyone in the Family used to dip their toothbrush into the same tin,yuk!

I'd forgotten the Gibbs toothpaste JF We wouldn't dream of all using the same tin these days, would we!

I remember that too, was proably the cheapest around. The lid used to get rusty and you could get it in green or pink, lasted for ages even in our family of five.

We had the pink powder, (id forgotten that) tasted funny though!
