Great lines

Forget Shakespeare but lines that are just `throw away`and yet so funny.

One of my favourites is from Jeeves and Wooster.

Bertie is in another pickle and pretends he has gone mad-the crowd gathers and one of his Aunt`s is told he is having a brainstorm

She replies;

What with?

Just two words but so perfect

Re: Great lines

I love those old Jeeves & Wooster things. All that stuff with the Empress of Blandings is wonderful, never fails to cheer me up.
There were some clever remarks made.

One I remember is when one of Bertie's barmy friends had been chucked by a girl friend, he described the friend as having been 'returned to stock' ....

Stephen Fry and Hugh Lawrie were superb on the box.

Re: Great lines

I liked the one with Laurel and Hardy, the phone rings, Stan picks it up and says 'It sure is' then hangs up. Ollie turns to Stan and asks him who it was. 'Someone rang up and said it was a long distance from California and I said it sure is.
