Re: So how are YOU spending your Summer?

I'm doing much the same things--but slower.

I bought a smaller bike, and I've been exploring the side roads within fifty miles of my home. Sleeping a bit later, hitting the gym harder, and more seriously. I lost over 30 pounds.

It's funny how you can enjoy things more by somehow being happy with less.

Hi Tourist,
Lots of new peeps on here just lately, kick your shoes off and join in lol

Bikes are just made for American roads!! Well done on the weight loss, (I'm still struggling with only a stone to lose) I think when you have experienced a lot of somethings you can be happier with less

Well, the new bike, a Sportster 48, is made for inner city roads. I re-set the rear shocks and I'm adding a better seat.

In American slang, that makes it better for 'Class A Highways.' That is, nice roads, but more rural. I do like to take it on 'the slab.' That is, our Interstate System. My Dyna, I call her Black Betty, is a heavy sport bike. A 'cruiser.' I can post pics if that's allowed here.

(I'm still struggling with only a stone to lose)
By your nomenclature, that means 20 pounds, correct?--Chico
