close encounters

Last night was a beautiful night, not a cloud in the sky and the stars were as brilliant as ever. As I sat in my deckchair in the back garden looking up, I thought how lovely it would be if I spotted a UFO, or better still if I had a visit from a little green alien with a big head. Nothing happened, and I fell asleep.
If you were ever lucky enough to see something strange hovering above or have an encounter with an alien, would you keep it to yourself or tell everyone, knowing nobody would believe you?.

Oh, you're the guy...

My no-brother-good-inlaw had a cheap hub-cap fly off of his Yugo when returning from the Ho Chunk Indian Gaming Casino. He couldn't find it.

Could you send it back? If you don't he'll whine about losing the four bucks until Thanksgiving...

(That's not a little green man on the cap. He's insured by GEICO, and I think that's a gecko decal.)

Re: close encounters

Yes I saw UFO's once! I was down my mums and we were in the garden, and then suddenly I saw some lights whiz behind my sister - I told her to quickly come here and then we all saw them

Could have been someone playing tricks - but we called the ministry of defence just in case

Re: close encounters

I always wanted to see a UFO but never have, so I wrote this.

I still keep looking for UFOs though.

Re: close encounters

We once tied a red and green light onto a kite with 500foot of twine attatched to it and flew it into the air at 2:00am in the morning. A couple of days later the papers reported a red and green light hovering in the skies and then suddenly disappearing ( the batteries failed ) questioning if it was a UFO

Re: close encounters

People see UFOs quite near where Nero lives, I believe - over that direction anyway! Only thing I ever saw flying in the sky was a shooting star!

Re: close encounters

I don't think I have ever seen a UFO. If I did see one I would probably keep it to myself - I think that this means I don't really believe.

Re: close encounters

Well, it is quite a hotspot for UFO's where I live so much so that they built an observatory on the hills.
In fact, a police officer reckoned he had been abducted under regression, because he went missing, he lost his job over it because he wouldn't keep quiet, not sure I believe in the abduction reports though.

I have seen a UFO (and I am not ashamed to say I did because I don't know what it was) and so has my husband (in Northamptonshire) he was driving home, it was late at night, and he tried to follow it's path, he stopped a police man who stopped him to ask what he was doing and my husband asked him to witness what he had seen with him, which he did.

Re: close encounters

If I had an encounter with an alien I would tell it to buy a bloody map and not rely on useless sat navs from the colony beta 4.

Everyone knows they make rubbish . Go back up and turn left at Alpha Centauri,go on for two light years and ask again

Re: close encounters

Do they still sell Lucas electric supplies in your country? We have jokes about them.

For example, we say that their corporate motto is, "Night--brought to you by Lucas Electronics."

Or, "Lucas--which explains why the Brits like warm beer."

Believe it or not, these jokes were part of the problem on why guys were reluctant to buy BSA and Triumph bikes.
