It's not, it just makes a better picture artistically. If I was to paint it I probably would do the same.
It's not a photo as such but a picture. I didn't need a fancy camera, just a point and shoot, I didn't need to learn techniques, it was an instant image which I could enhance when I had time.
Years ago you had to wait for photos to come back from processing and get very disappointed if the were rubbish. Now you don't have to, you can turn even rubbish photos into acceptable images. I think it's more Art than photography skill these days, Barry.
If you really wanted to capture an image that you would never see again and took a really bad photo, then you could possibly edit it to make it clearer and as you remembered it wouldn't you do it?
