Numbers...we ladies often wonder how many men it really does take to solve a problem. .

Old but still a great example .
(sound on for commentary).

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

I always loved old British Leyland cars, so much so, I wrote a song about one. It was an Austin, the model that preceded the Ital, and was blue in colour, I hope you like the lyrics

Marina, Aqua Marina
What are these strange enchantments, that start whenever your near

Marina, Aqua Marina
Why can't you whisper the words, my heart is longing to hear

Your Magic to Me
I'm certain to fall I know, because you enthral me

Marina, Aqua Marina
Why don't you say, that you'll always stay, close to my heart

Thank you.

Thank you for saying so, I was asked by a couple of other folks to prepare something for them.

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

I got a good laugh from that video Solo, but you have to admit the ideas to stop the thing were coming thick and fast, pity they were all stupid ideas though.

My condolences on the loss of the Mother in law Spitty.
Well done with the poem.
The only time my words were spoken in public was when my older brother nicked my diary, I was a tender lad of 14 and he was a young villain of 16, I had written a love poem to a girl after I had my first kiss, he tore the page out and read it aloud to the rest of the gang, oh the embarrassment of it all, I never kept a diary again after that.

I got my musical inspiration for car songs from the Fiat Ritmo my Uncle Joe used to drive, don’t drive meself as I’ve often said.
I set it to the air of “The Sewing Machine” Betty Hutton’s old song.

“Ohhh, the Ritmo is strong the Ritmo is save
A mans best friend
If you drive a Ritmo car
You’ll never go round the bend
With a stoppin’ a startin’ a gasket a fartin’
And the wheels acting the Mick
You’ll never have a minutes peace if you become a Ritmothick”

I used to sing that to him every time the thing broke down, which was often, needless to say he was not amused.

Oh,goodness-fifteen thousand!
That's quite a lot of posts!
But even more remarkable is-
each one has it's hosts!

Oh,yes;the hosts and names oft change,
I wouldn't pretend s'not so.
But,fifteen thousand posts is a lot...
let's try for twenty...GO!!
