Aren't they?
I suppose you could argue that (like the Pagan Christmas tree is non-religious) it's more a celebration of life and Spring rather than a religious icon

But whatever the reason..

How pretty, Rhian! Glad to hear you are out and about for the weekend.

Yes, my grandmother had one - branches of a tree sprayed white with wooden, decorated Easter eggs painted in various pastel patterns, and now you have me wondering where it is in my parents's house...

Meg! Gorgeous! The forsythia is in full bloom here too, but not as beautifully and patiently groomed.

Nicol, that's a simply lovely tree and I am sure it give you great pleasure.
