Re: How Cheeky Are You?

This is the Marigold she let me have. I have just googled ‘Marigolds for yolks’ and it seems l could have used the multi-petal Marigolds! Oh well, never mind.

Re: How Cheeky Are You?

When I lived on a modern estate there were two elderly women who regularly used to wander around admiring the usually well-kept, well-stocked gardens. What people didn't realise though was that they often took small cuttings of anything they could reach, without trespassing. Their own garden was a mass of plants and flowers, mostly it was said, had been gained by their method of helping themselves! Now that really is cheeky, talk about gardening on the cheap!

Hi

Not flowers but skips.

One of my neighbours was having a new kitchen.

Got the old cabinets for my shed.

Saved me a mint.

Re: How Cheeky Are You?

I wouldn't consider that cheeky Art! The plant had cost her nothing, as it was in the house before she moved there & you repaid her kind deed by offering some fresh eggs.
I think it was a friendly gesture from both of you and I am sure you will smile and say "Hello" when you see her pushing her baby pram.

Wish I'd have known Art, you could have sent you all the seeds you wanted, I've got loads of 'em.

I have the old bright orange Marigolds, and when Mum died, I brought even more over from her garden.
They spread everywhere.

What a good idea Mups, you could send Art a few and her hens will never go hungry with so many. Her hens would see it as a pick & mix!
