Re: Tracking Parcels.

I ordered some nuts online..
Tracking details were sent...
..the parcel was due that morning before 12pm so I waited in.
..Nothing arrived so I went to tracking details and they said
'Probably delivered '

I contacted the company who agreed to resend the order in a few days meanwhile the order arrived 2 days late

I must admit that I am fascinated by it.

My Fence Panels, made less then 20 miles away.

Ordered Friday at 3pm.

Sent from Dunfermline, then to a Depot in Leicestershire and then to Stoke on Trent.

Arrived yesterday morning.

How do they do it?

Delivery costs were less than ordering direct.

How does that work?
It probably costs far more to store them in your local area than in Scotland. Holding excess stock is a big cost for business.

Something in that story isn't right.
Hi

They are made in Telford, which is 15 miles away.

I have no idea at all why they were sent from Dumfermaline, but that is what the tracking link said.

Re: Tracking Parcels.

I am expecting my new generator today BUT is is being sent by courier rather than Australia Post. The latter get two bites of the cherry as they own StarTrack.

The problem with couriers is that they track everything but they don't give you a delivery time. It is about 9.15am and this was updated at 8.59 so now I just have to wait, because if I don't answer the door within about 5 nano seconds of them knocking they will leave a card and be off.
