Absolutely NOT! If that was the case, what would be the point in even being here and trying? The greatest gift we have is our free will which is our ability to make the right choices for ourselves.

Edited to add: On the other hand though after two motorcycle accidents, a heart attack, beating a diagnosis of pre-Type 2 diabetes and so far 70+ year's of rather a stressful life, then something positive might have been decided!

I have found that hard work and focusing on what you want has an amazingly positive effect when it comes to luck.

I have always felt that eventually I will end up living on the street, it wouldn't surprise me if it comes true.
