I believe circumstance has the major effect on a personsprospects, so if you relate circumstance to destiny then
your destiny IS written at birth to a large degree!
However l think we are able to steer our way through life
to a certain extent, which also can be influenced by who
or what we encounter in our life!
Also our attitude can make a big difference to our progress
through life, ie how we react to advice or learning for
instance?
But there is no doubt that who you are or where you come
from are the major factors in forming your so called destiny!

I've always been of the opinion that you should 'Think Yourself Lucky' even if you're not...
At least we're all writing on here.....The unlucky ones aren't...
Life is just a series of paths, deciding which one to take can change the whole of your future....Or did we just follow the signs because we knew where we wanted to end up?

A while back, after having a heart attack I was discussing this with my GP and commented that I could not understand why, my diet was not junk food, I did not drink, gave up smoking some 35 years previously etc., etc.
Back came the reply though "yes, as maybe but you have overlooked one thing which is that you are a human being and as such fallible".
I had not given that a thought, so perhaps that applies to everything generally in life?

Sliding Doors.A great movie!
Girl goes to catch a tube, in the morning,and the film plays out from there.
Then the film starts again, but this time the tube train doors are shut. She fails to get on. A whole new story plays out from this different beginning.
Fascinating .
Fate at it's best.
