Taking a gun or anything else to cause damage or injury during a peaceful protest is not for self defence. These are organised violent disturbances of the public peace.

I will not be surprised Biden is assasinated.
He would be the 5th President for this to happen to then, I believe.

Who wants a stinking job like that ey?
I wouldn't be either, but Trump would be at risk also.

This is an absolute tragedy.

Unbelievable..

While many are now pushing for Trump to be removed as President under the 25th amendment, Mattis suggested he should be stripped of his citizenship entirely.

Former US Defense Secretary Mattis says the country will overcome this ‘stain’ and Donald Trump will be left as a ‘man without a country’

The ex-President may choose this option voluntarily. Trump pondered the possibility of leaving the U.S. after an election loss during a campaign rally in Georgia.

Re: Trump supporters stormed Capital Hill

Update: Arrests continuing, the most serious warrants have not been issued as investigations continue.

The 25th was blocked early on by a West Virginia Representative in the House of Representatives. 200 Democrats are co-sponsoring Articles of Impeachment that will be introduced Wednesday morning. Biden has expressed concern that too much focus on impeachment stall what he wants done soon after election. Impeachment can continue after the election, and Trump can claim that a rushed decision violates his right to defend himself.

The news and conversation of the day, while everyone stands by for action from Congress and more arrests, is almost exclusively centered on the issue of corporate censorship.

States are taking head the warnings of potential riots and protests on or near the inauguration. Each state is making its own plans to address concerns.

Trump has declared a state of emergency which enables the activation of the National Guard and other resources in anticipation of any potential for trouble at the inauguration.

Trump could set up a podium outside the White House and rant there all day couldn't he?I'm sure Fox would broadcast it.

Re: Trump supporters stormed Capital Hill

It's 10:38 in the evening and the House has narrowly passed a resolution calling on the Vice President to convene the Cabinet and move towards removing the President from office.

The Vice President has already said that he is not going to move forward. Here is his letter to the Speaker of the House elaborating his position:
