Ouch - that must have shook you up!!

I once cracked 3 ribs falling into a radiator. I'm so glad you haven't broken any bones or cracked your head.

Lay off the Jamesons if you're thinking of going up the ladder sometime soon ... Better still, get somebody else to do it for you!

The most dangerous appliance in the home and the main cause of home accident admissions to A&E is the step ladder, please avoid at all costs unless you have someone hold them for you!

Thanks everyone. Had a paracetamol and a glass of hot milk with cinnamon before going to bed, which gave me a good nights sleep. Left shoulder is technicoloured - but no lasting damage - apart from a disgruntled cat who is now refusing to use the cat basket.
