How nice

Every employee at the care home and indeed the whole group where I work , recieved a “care” package today, it included things like, tea, coffee, biscuits some fruit, lots of tinned stuff, bread, plus more, we got ours today and other homes will receive theirs over next week, the most I got from my last company was .....a crunchie!!,

Re: How nice

Sorry to put a spanner in the works, but I understand that the elderly (75+) will not be accommodated in NHS hospitals in the event they get the dreaded virus on the basis that "frail elderly people do not respond to the sort of intensive treatment required for the lung complications of coronavirus and indeed the risk of hospital admission may be to exacerbate pain and suffering".
........... AND........care home workers and relatives are being encouraged to ensure that 'Respect Forms' or Do Not Resuscitate orders be discussed and signed by elderly and vulnerable people!! Another sign of past NHS cuts.............. I do hope when all is done and over, there will be a call for an enquiry on Pandemic Emergency Strategic Planning!!
