Have you got a softer side C&G? I'd love to see it.
I am soft in the head, if that is what you mean?

You should wear some clothes next time you go walking.

Is being liked and fitting in important to you?
No, I have been a loner all my life and prefer my own company to that of being with others .

All you have to do is be yourself. People will either like you or lump you. It's that simple.

I've never wanted to 'fit in'. I am not, and have no desire to be, a clone. As for whether I am liked or not, that's not my problem. I'm not a very social being, so as long as my dog likes me I'm happy. And he does.

I remember at school there were always those who wanted to be in with the "in" crowd. That was never my bag. they then go on to carry this behaviour on throughout their lives. It's almost as though they can't function on their own

Fly solo and you'll meet more friends and acquaintances on the way.

Re: Is being liked and fitting in important to you?

My parents, mother especially, was almost paranoid about what people thought of her. She worried constantly that anything I did or said would reflect badly on her.
I didn't care that much and I wasn't going to conform to what she wanted. I wanted to be my own person.
I try to get on with people and it's nice to be liked, but if people don't accept or like me, it's no loss to me.
