Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

On the 20th day before xmas my true love said to me
I think we’re running out of time; we need more rosemary and thyme
And hic this port doeth turn me blind
Only five more days!!!!!!!!!!!!
Four gentle farts; three quick pees; two with you know who and
And the vicar says he owes me two

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Shingles? You WIMP!!!
here in Casa Pug,there has been ZERO heating for two months now,as the friggin' govt determine what/where/how/why the old-and-VERY-defunct boiler can be exchanged. Oh,it's an easy job to take out a combi boiler and replace it-I could do it AND have everything running and warm within one day...but you just would not credit the bullshit and red tape that goes with doing so! Therms, output, bars,mw's,environmental balance, blah blah....and all because I reside on a small island. If I lived in the middle of Birmingham, surrounded by crap and traffic, nobody'd give a flying fu...er...hoot. So;carry on the battle until you win,gumbud-it's the season for Shingle Bells,so give'em Hell,mate-and emerge triumphant!

Forgive me if I'm wrong but.... the dark object by the garden gate looks to be the head of a DODO, the body having been buried.

Please Mrs Butler (Allan Ahlberg)

Please Mrs Butler
This boy Derek Drew
Keeps copying my work, Miss.
What shall I do?

Go and sit in the hall, dear.
Go and sit in the sink.
Take your books on the roof, my lamb.
Do whatever you think.

Please Mrs Butler
This boy Derek Drew
Keeps taking my rubber, Miss.
What shall I do?

Keep it in your hand, dear.
Hide it up your vest.
Swallow it if you like, my love.
Do what you think is best.

Please Mrs Butler
This boy Derek Drew
Keeps calling me rude names, miss.
What shall I do?

Lock yourself in the cupboard, dear.
Run away to sea.
Do whatever you can, my flower.
But don’t ask me.

remind you of anyone?

Don’t mind that RJ fella Gummy, that is a beautiful and most unusual picture, snow in Australia, besides we all know Dodo’s only live in New Zealand.

I wonder who ate the last Dodo?

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Consider yourself lucky you weren't in Hobart, gumbud.
I was there once when motorcycles were banned from the roads because of ice! Yes...actually banned. Hmm,I thought-THIS isn't the sundrenched Antipodean heaven I was expecting...so I 'legged it' out of there pdq and went to Hong Kong...where it was PISSING down,as if rain was free!

...It sounds bloody ridiculous, but it's totally true, that getting back to Vancouver, was the warmest part of that trip!

Nah...keep they 'sunny climes'.
Gimmee a place where y'KNOW what the season'll bring.
[as long as tornados, hurricanes & tsunamis ain't included]

Oh dear - JEM!!!!!!!!!!!! - we need this sorting out before Xmas - we need the true definition of "a moment" - spitfire often doesn't say much but when he does he often creates a quandary [ and there's another one to throw in the pot]
