My hubby left Saga insurance years ago,i completed his online insurance for him this year and although it started off low something like £150.by the time extras were added it was well over the £200 mark.it does pay to shop around though as hubs was going up every year when he stuck with same one ..

Re: Car Insurance!

Customer Care on team SAGA are still on the case attempting to provide the services offered (and paid for). Latest solution yet to materialise but as I've refused to agree that my complaint has been resolved, I'm now being upgraded! So SAGA senior management will soon be taking over - fingers crossed!

Re: Car Insurance!

I renewed my insurance a month ago and the renewal quote I was sent had more than doubled from the previous year to £459 (no changes to circumstances). I hadn't been quoted that much since my 20's.
I phoned them up to check it was right and they immediately knocked £105 off. Still not interested and eventually got it through Direct Line for £190. My car is pretty powerful. The quote doesn't include a courtesy car, but I only use it as a big boys toy now so didn't really need one.

Re: Car Insurance!

SAGA customer care jumped on my case and the whole of the SAGA enterprise 'phoned me to let me know (a) when they planned to do something; (b) when they were actually doing it, and (c) when they'd done it and who they'd passed it to..................ditto the whole of the above with the outsourced taskforce! On one particular day - a special day for me which I needed to plan carefully, stay calm and relaxed for a special event in the evening............I was contacted......(wait for it...) 18 times by SAGA and their assorted outsourcers! It was so bad I asked the customer care manager who was looking after my complaint, if it was SAGA's policy to harass their customers if they complained!
..............Eventually - really exhausted, I accepted their compensation for £275! I'd much prefer a decent service and a quiet life!

Re: Car Insurance!

Count your blessings. Over here in Vancouver, Canada we have government car insurance which STARTS (with full discounts) at approx $1200CAD (£644) That does not include any comprehensive (theft, vandalism etc) or collision

did you get a quote from Aviva? I've been with them for 3 years and they always manage to beat any quote so I know I'm getting the best deal
