Happened to a client's site some time back by plumbers and nearly destroyed the entire building.
Yes Fender, looking at the photos the place is surrounded in scaffolding so it wouldn't be unreasonable to believe that the fire was due to carelessness from one of the restorers. They use some very flammable chemicals and old church roofs are very susceptible to fire risk, I remember the damage that lightning did to the tower of York Minster. Very sad all the same.....

I was thinking about those amazing windows, impossible to capture them on camera but such an experience to walk through the kaleidoscope. We were there just seven years ago. Such a shock to see what is happening.

Sad but it's only a building,hopefully no one injured.
President of the USA has suggested using water to put it out.
