Good morning Ann darlin' - welcome to the early risers club!!! I have no trouble going to sleep, but STAYING asleep is a problem and I tend to wake early and then am unable to remain in bed.

I go to bed at 10.30 and get up around 7.00 depending on whether it is a work day or not. I do wake up sometimes in the night but usually manage to get off again. I never get up and go downstairs as I think that disrupts your sleep pattern completely.

I suppose I am one of the lucky ones really. I don't normally have too much trouble sleeping. If I do wake up it's usually to do with my husband snoring So I move into a spare room, problem solved.

Re: Can't sleep? Blame aging brain cells.

It wasn't unusual for me to still be awake at 4.00 in the morning, unable to get to sleep I would then drop off and wake about 8.00am and get up.

Now, thanks to Hammer's recommendation about the Sound Pillow, I am able to get to sleep within an hour.
