Well they've gone. I stood out on the common and watched as the convoy of the most unroadworthy bunch of vehicles towing a grotty selection of caravans pulled onto the road and slowly vanished. I must say I felt like cheering but deep down I know that's not the last we've seen of them or more of their"family".

I walked out on the common earlier to survey the scene to find a team of security dog handlers along with a couple of Cujo lookalikes. They weren't told that our unwanted neighbours had moved away last night.
