Re: Rise of the Machines

Timers are just a guide as far as I'm concerned.

The Old Timers are gone, no one left to guide.

Do you, like me, feel a bit ill at ease at doing so? Not because it won't be cooked or fully heated, nor because you think the machine will have been damaged.

But because...it just doesn't feel like the right thing to do!!

Re: Rise of the Machines

The rise of the Machines should be followed by the demise of the human race.....
Because we don't even get out of our armchairs to change the channels on our TV's any more, and hop into a vehicle to drive a hundred yards to the shop, and most of the jobs are sitting down jobs and can be done from home thanks to Covid. Thanks to Amazon we can order stuff from that same armchair with no need to walk around a department store. Thanks again to covid, record numbers of people are now ordering their groceries online and delivered to their door.
In the future there will be no need to leave your house, and that is what the establishment are hoping for. So they give you unlimited access to music, films, computer games, social media, in fact everything the subdued human needs to keep them quiet, passive, and content. You think obesity is a problem now.....
