Harvest

I checked my cabbages two days ago and decided that they were ready for haresting but my wife said "leave it 'til tomorrow" so I did.
Yesterday morning I found that 4 of them had been attacked by either mice or even rats or something because the hearts were half eaten!! I had one left plus two others still maturing. Last year it was just slugs, snails and whitefly!!! stevmk2

Too true!!!! At least I've got plenty of Spring Onions though!!! stevmk2

I gave up on brassicas so didn't grow any this year, I got too tired of battling slugs, snails, birds, mice, caterpillars et al and, like you Martin, it was always seemed just as you were ready to harvest...infuriating..

Yep! That's what I should have done nero!!!!
And I say Spring Onions dandy - do you say scallions?
