Having watched the new one off Open all hours I have come to the conclusion an entire run of repeats of the original would have been preferably.

Don't let me put you off Steve many people loved it just didn't make my husband and myself laugh and we used to love the series.

I quite like Olly Murs, he's always such a cheerful chappie and sings some really good songs. Nice to actually be able to hear the words too!

I quite like him too. And I am always reminded that he is an example of what really comes out of X-factor type programmes. The most successful ones are usually NOT the ones who win!

I find it difficult to watch something a second time because I know the outcome! The only exception to that is watching the film The Dirty Dozen - for some reason, I can watch that particular film over and over again.

Its amazing though if a film is truly good - you can watch a year later and drink in some scenes that you were not so observant about ....
There are some films that we can watch again given a break - thats how good they are though...

I think with The Dirty Dozen, it has a lot of actors I really liked and amidst all the sad stuff, there's some lovely humour and comraderie.

BBC America has canceled Copper and Ripper Street because it apparently interferes with their 24/7 repeats of Top Gear and Doctor Who. I think on Saturday they break out of that rut and show The Graham Norton Show.
