I used to like these two together Patsy, very funny. Do you remember when one used to say something daft and the other one used to struggle to keep a straight face? That used to tickle me too.

My favourite was the film Bedazzled and there were those moment in that film where you could tell it'd been several takes before they got the finished 'cut', bit like the Inspector Clouseau films with the late, great Peter Sellers!

My favourite scene is in Bedazzled is when The Devil, (Pete) turns Dud's character into a nun.

To get 'out' of any situation the Devil puts him in, Dud's character has to blow a raspberry - which he does, several times.

So funny!! stevmk2

Re: Pete and Dud

I am preparing myself for a backlash even as I type this, because I never found these two remotely funny, not even slightly. Just pretentious and slightly full of themselves. Mind you I never found Morecombe and Wise funny either most of their so called gags were telegraphed so far in advance it was not worth watching. Now the two Ronnies, they were funny, although it is strange that RC is not when he is on his own. A bit like how Enfield is not a bit funny since his break from Whitehouse, who can make even a two minute ad. hysterical.

Others I never found even slightly amusing and yet who are constantly being hailed as geniuses are Tommy Cooper, and Ken Dodd, oh and that Scouser Tarbuck.
Go on then shout at me, I can take it.

Re: Pete and Dud

Of course humor is subjective, Ive enjoyed their work over the years, and their alter ego`s Derek and Clive was quite risqué and not for the faint hearted.

I remember Cook on Clive Anderson talks back when he appeared as 4 different guests

Bunged up a thread about these wasters a fair while ago. No accounting for taste.

P.S It may have not been on this forum.
