Pauline im going to eventually transfer them to under an old oak tree at the bottom of my garden so dont mind if they spread to their hearts content there lol
Cant wait to see them sprouting .I will be keeping an eye on them in Spring.

LOL Mups no I was referring to how to grow it. It has a rather distressing idea of taking over any garden it gets into just like mint.

Yes it’s evasive for sure. You could add some edging that goes down past the roots to keep them contained.
Apparently my husband says I knew they were poisonous. I’d forgotten. This losing memory thing truly sucks.

Re: Lily of the Valley

I love Lily-of-the-valley...and, as my back yard extends to the woods beyond...I find a lot of wild flowers growing there. I've been aware of their poisonous nature...probably as long as I've known that Poinsettias are as well. But, like Poinsettias...Lily-of-the-valley are just so beautiful to look at but just not in the house if you've small children or pets...

Yes they are. I love how dainty and feminine they are and cute as a button. I’ve got a few tiny vases to put them in around the house like the bathroom , bedroom night stand and the scent is seriously Devine. Pretty white flowers are so crisp and clean looking. They make a great still life photo/painting too if you’re on the artistic side.

One of my favourite flower aromas (along with hyacinth). How lucky you all are to grow it in your gardens.

I have the pot situated on my door step at the front as it gets part sun part shade and is nice and warm when the suns out too. How long before I should see something happening do you think?

Any help/tips would be much appreciated....thanks!!
Go into Google Aysa and type in lily of the valley. You will get all the information you need there. They are very poisonous.

I always buy a pot of bulbs around Christmas. Inevitably I get a cold and cough and can’t enjoy the smell though, but touch wood I’ve not had one since getting the dog. Reckon it’s all the walking I do.
