Richard Griffiths, larger than life actor who starred in Harry Potter films, 'Withnail and I' and 'Pie in the sky', has died at age 65 from complications following surgery.

I think Griffiths was a good actor. We enjoyed 'Pie in the Sky', and his role as the evil uncle in the Harry Potter films.

It is quite an age if you go through your entire adult life being morbidly obese!

I am amazed he even made it to 65. A heart attack waiting to happen for 30 years.

But agree, nice bloke and a good actor.
Did some good programmes like Pie in the Sky.

Weight won't have helped but as he was overweight due to medical problems not over eating I find it hard to blame him for it.
