Crash!

This is an interesting interactive map showing road fatalities in the last 9 years. It is a bit sobering to tap in your postcode and see the sad truth.

There are proposals to reduce the speed limit to 20mph in residential areas and to 50mph on single carriageway rural roads. Do you support them? Do you have any other ideas for improving road safety?

Re: Crash!

There are 20mph parts where I actually live but motorists seem to ignore it! No police presence either to catch the culprits. The 20 mph are parts near the school but it is also the main bus route as well.

Higher penalties given to those drivers who think they should break the law by speeding. Not enough police around to catch them either.

We have speed bumps on our drives here and all that makes some drivers do is driver fast over them - they seem to think it fun!!

More speed cameras may be one answer.

I think they should be lowered for school areas and residential areas
